Cadillac's Optiq Hides a Detail in the Glass, Not on a Sticker

· 1 min read

Cadillac gave the Optiq a small touch of craft that most owners will likely never notice: rather than the usual adhesive decal, the automaker etched the design directly into the SUV's glass. It is a costlier route than a simple sticker, and one that will outlast any label that could peel or fade. The choice speaks to the kind of quiet attention to detail that separates a well-made vehicle from one merely assembled to spec. It is easy to miss, and that may be the point.
