A Callaway-Boosted 1985 GTI Comes Up on Bring a Trailer

A 1985 Volkswagen GTI is now listed on Bring a Trailer, and the reason to look closely is under the hood: Callaway Cars added a turbocharger to it while the car was still new to the road. With that period conversion, this GTI has a good deal more pace than a standard example from the same year. For collectors of the early GTI, work done by a known tuner in the car's own era is provenance in its own right, and this listing is worth reading closely.
