Car and Driver Puts a 1976 Saab 99EMS Back on the Clock, and It Holds Up

· 1 min read

Car and Driver has run a 1976 Saab 99EMS through a fresh instrumented test, fifty years on from the model year. The verdict is a kind one: the magazine finds that the sober, engineering-first thinking Saab was known for still rewards the driver today. For American owners and collectors who have kept a 99EMS in the garage, that is a welcome endorsement from a title that measured these cars when they were new. We have not driven this example ourselves, and we take the magazine's numbers as theirs.

With reporting from Car and Driver.
