Honda's Coming Hybrids Add All-Wheel Drive and Sharper Cornering to the Economy Case

· 1 min read

Honda is preparing a new hybrid architecture that it says will corner better and feel livelier behind the wheel than what it replaces. The company frames the gain in driver engagement as coming alongside, not instead of, improved fuel economy. The platform will also carry a new electrically driven all-wheel-drive system making its first appearance on the new underpinnings. For owners who have long chosen Honda hybrids on practical grounds, the pitch this time is aimed as much at the hands on the wheel as at the trip computer.
