One-Off Mustang With a Cargo Bed Lives Inside Ford's Experimental Shop

· 1 min read

Ford has kept a Mustang fitted with an open rear bed, a factory-built experiment that trades the pony car's trunk for pickup-style hauling. The car remains in the company's Experimental Vehicle Building rather than on any dealer lot, and nothing from the automaker suggests it is headed for production. For collectors who track Ford's in-house prototypes, it is a rare case of a Mustang body reworked into a form the model line has never offered publicly.
