World Rally Championship Puts an American Round on Its 2027 Calendar
The FIA has published its World Rally Championship schedule for 2027, and the series will compete on American soil for the first time in that season, with the event slotted for the end of August. That places the championship's top cars and crews in this country a little less than a year from now. For the owner who follows the sport through the homologation cars in a collection, it means the competition machinery those road cars descend from will be running in anger here rather than on a feed from overseas. The confirmation comes by way of the calendar itself, which is the only document that settles where a championship season actually goes. Further particulars of the American round, including its host region and route, were not part of what the calendar announcement carried.
