Army Mule Colt Answers the Workout Sheet at Saratoga

A maiden race for well-bred 2-year-olds at Saratoga went to script this week, and the script had been written on the training track. Dargham, a son of Army Mule, had shown clockers in the mornings that he carried the speed to get to the front, and in the Saratoga Maidens, presented by Keeneland, he did exactly that. He took the lead against a field of similarly well-bred rivals and was not seriously threatened. For a young sire's runner, there is no better proof of the morning works than doing on raceday what they promised.
