Baltimore Business Leaders Set Out to Map the Preakness's Economic Reach

· 1 min read

The Greater Baltimore Committee has partnered with Sound Diplomacy, a global consultancy specializing in culture and economic development, to create a Preakness Economic Opportunity Blueprint. The collaboration is aimed at documenting the race's role in the city's economy, from the businesses it touches to the investment it draws. Sound Diplomacy brings experience shaping cultural and economic strategy for cities and institutions elsewhere, work now being turned toward one of Baltimore's best-known dates on the racing calendar. The blueprint stands as a formal accounting of what the Preakness means to the city that hosts it.

With reporting from Thoroughbred Daily News.
