The American SetBelmont Park Reopens Its Gates for the Jockey Club Gold Cup
Banishing, a colt by Ghostzapper with multiple graded stakes wins to his name, is set to break from the gate in the Grade 1 Jockey Club Gold Cup on Friday, September 18. The ten-furlong test will also mark racing's return to the newly rebuilt Belmont Park, giving the race an added sense of occasion this fall. Money Game is also pointed toward the same field, bringing another accomplished runner into the mix on opening day at the reimagined track.
