A Career Spent Behind the Camera, Recognized in Front of It

Amy Zimmerman will receive the Jane Goldstein Exemplary Leadership Award, an honor marking decades spent shaping how horse racing reaches American television screens. Zimmerman has worked across the sport in several capacities at once — producing, directing, writing, and holding network leadership roles — building a body of work centered entirely on the game she covers. The award recognizes that kind of sustained leadership, the sort built race meet by race meet rather than in a single season.
