Champion Filly Nitrogen Breezes At Belmont, Eyes Beldame

Nitrogen, the reigning champion 3-year-old filly by Medaglia d'Oro, went through a solo breeze at Belmont Park on Saturday morning. The work keeps her on schedule for a projected start in the Grade II Beldame Stakes on September 25, one of the fall meet's marquee tests for the division. For a filly carrying a championship into the second half of her season, a clean, unhurried breeze on Belmont's main track is exactly the kind of morning trainers hope for.
