A Frequent Flyer Named Fionn
George Messina has seen the inside of more airports than he ever expected since his horse Fionn started winning at the top of the game. The son of Twirling Candy gave his owners their first victory at the Grade I level and did it on the grass, which has meant following him from track to track across the country. Messina's own joke is that the frequent-flyer account is now one of the real rewards of ownership. With the horse's run drawing toward its close, that is the kind of small, happy complaint most owners never get to make.
