Grit Over Gate Speed: Lennox the Grey Digs In to Take the Old Dominion Derby

Lennox the Grey, by Liam's Map, did not get the ideal trip in the Old Dominion Derby, finding himself off the front end through the early running. Asked to find something in deep stretch, the colt answered, closing hard to get up and win going away. The victory stands as a graded score, the latest for a Liam's Map runner to reach that level on the turf. It is the kind of finish that reminds hunt-country and grandstand alike why the closers are always worth staying to watch.
