Buyers and consignors moving through the barns described a market in good spirits, with brisk activity underway well ahead of the first hip walking into the ring. The scene is a familiar overture in Lexington, where the days before the sale often set the tone for what follows. This year, by all early accounts on the grounds, that tone is an optimistic one.
