How's Al Today didn't need a long break to prove his last start was no fluke. The Munnings colt, out of the Into Mischief mare Into Magic, had finished third in the Grade III Saratoga Special before his connections brought him back on short rest for the Juvenile Mile at Kentucky Downs. He won it on Wednesday, the meet's closing day, becoming the first horse to cross first twice during the 2026 stand. Asking a two-year-old to back up a graded try that fast is its own kind of statement about how he's training, and this colt answered it in the winner's circle.
