The American SetLee and Susan Searing Close Del Mar in Style
The Searings sent their colt Medoro out for the John Mabee on Del Mar's closing day, and he answered by turning back Thought Process to take the stakes. Medoro, a son of the Lane's End stallion Honor Code, gave the meet's final card a proper stakes-caliber finish. The win came just one race after another Lane's End sire, Honor A. P., had reason to celebrate as well, with his 2-year-old colt Imperial Honor marked out as one of the meet's most promising juveniles on that same closing day.
