At Mott's Saratoga Barn, Sovereignty Takes a Morning Off
Sovereignty, the Into Mischief colt who works out of Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott's barn, stayed in for the morning at Saratoga Springs on Saturday. The workout planned for the 4-year-old had been called off, leaving him to rest in his stall rather than head to the track. Mott, asked about the colt's path toward the Gold Cup, described his chances of making the start as an even one. For a horse of Sovereignty's stature, even a quiet morning at Saratoga draws notice.
