New Leadership at the Rail: TRF Names Pinto to Steer Its Finances as Stickney-Compagna Steps Back

The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation, the nonprofit charged with keeping retired racehorses fed, sound and cared for once their racing days end, announced Wednesday that Andy Pinto will take over as the organization's Chief Financial Officer. The appointment comes as Pat Stickney-Compagna retires from the post. For an organization whose entire mission rests on stewardship of donated dollars across its network of farms, the finance chair is no small assignment, and the transition marks a quiet but consequential moment for an operation many in the sport rely on to give horses a life after the wire.
