Salahudin Banks Ten Derby Points With Unbeaten Run at Churchill Downs

Zedan Racing's Salahudin, a son of Uncle Mo, kept his record spotless Saturday with a win in the Grade III Iroquois Stakes at Churchill Downs. The colt broke slowly and raced wide through much of the trip before working his way past the field to the wire. The victory was worth ten points on the Road to the Kentucky Derby, adding to the tally that will help set next spring's field in Louisville. Doing it from off the pace and out wide, on a track as demanding as Churchill Downs, is the kind of trip that tests whether a perfect record is built on more than easy trips.
