Third Time's the Charm: A Mandaloun Filly Finds the Winner's Circle at the Spa

Rum Twist broke her maiden at Saratoga Race Course, the two-year-old filly's third try proving the one that counted. She is by Mandaloun out of Rumandice, herself a daughter of Congrats, and races for the partnership of Keeneland Lee and Lexi Lewis. A maiden win at the Spa is one of the meet's small, familiar rites of passage, and for this filly and her connections, it arrived on the third attempt rather than the first.
