Where the Number Tied, the Weight Told the Story

Seven fillies crossed the wire last week carrying an identical 93 Beyer Speed Figure, the kind of dead heat on paper that sends the compilers back to the footnotes. The break came down to class and burden: Bodacious Bay took the higher spot on the strength of a Grade I win, while Dynamic Pricing and Love Cervere earned their placement running in ungraded company under top weight of 126 pounds. It is a reminder that a figure alone rarely settles an argument in this game — what the number was earned doing still counts. Three fillies, one identical mark, and three different routes to the same line.
