A Yaupon Filly Makes Her First Start Count at Gulfstream

Rose of Riyadh broke her maiden at Gulfstream Park in her very first start, taking on colts and getting the job done. The two-year-old filly, by Yaupon out of I Love Shopping (herself by Violence), won by a narrow margin that undersold the performance underneath it. Those closing the race in person saw a professional's composure rather than a debut horse's nerves.
