At Accor, the Final Call Still Comes Down to Instinct, Not the Spreadsheet

· 1 min read

Sébastien Bazin, the chief executive of Accor, says data is essential to running one of the world's largest hotel groups — but only when it feeds judgment rather than substituting for it. In a preview of his appearance at the Skift Global Forum, Bazin made the case for instinct as the deciding factor in calls made at that scale. Data informs the decision, in his account; it doesn't make it.
