Buffalo Trace Pours Elmer T. Lee Straight From the Barrel for the First Time

· 1 min read

The bourbon turns 40, and Buffalo Trace is marking the anniversary by bottling it cask-strength for the first time — no dilution, no adjustment, the barrel proof exactly as it left the rickhouse. Elmer T. Lee has been one of the more sought-after names on back-bar shelves for collectors, and this release changes the terms rather than the label. It is a first for the expression, not a relaunch.
