Meta's New Travel Agent Picks the Hotel, Not the Other Way Around

Meta has built an AI agent called Muse that books travel for its users, and how it works matters more than that it works. Flights connect directly into the system, but everything else — the rest of the trip — gets found the old-fashioned way, by Muse searching the open web on its own. That puts the agent itself in charge of where a search for a room or a stay actually lands, rather than any single property's booking pipeline. For hotels, the practical shift is this: being easy to find in an open search now counts for as much as having a direct feed into the system.
