Wyndham has built its business on scaling budget brands across thousands of properties, a model built for volume, not nuance. Dolce Nova, its new spin-off of Dolce Hotels, asks the company to work in the opposite direction: fewer rooms, more deliberate design, and a guest Wyndham has not historically pursued. It is a different discipline than the one that made the company's name, and a notable one for a hotel group of its size to take on.
