Six Soundstages Planned for New Film Campus Outside St. Louis
Construction has started on a film production campus in Illinois, close to St. Louis. Plans call for six soundstages with a combined 144,000 square feet of space, or about 24,000 square feet per stage. Illinois officials used the start of construction to promote the state's tax incentive for film production. For readers in Beverly Hills, much of whose work is in film and television, the project adds to the stage space available to productions in the United States. The project's scale is defined by its six stages and their combined footprint.
