Ugg Boot Takes the Shape of a Loafer in New JW Anderson Collaboration

Designer Jonathan Anderson's label, JW Anderson, has partnered with Ugg on a collection of boots and slippers modeled on the loafer. Dev Hynes is the face of the campaign for the line. The pairing brings together two familiar forms. One is the Ugg boot. The other is the loafer, a shoe usually linked with tailoring rather than comfort. The collaboration puts both forms into a boot and a slipper. Anderson has previously reworked everyday objects in his designs. His past pieces include a handbag shaped like a pigeon and a clutch modeled on a tomato. With this collection, he applies the same approach to the Ugg boot.
