McLaren has confirmed it is building its first SUV, a high-riding four-door that could reach driveways as soon as 2028 — news that lands with particular interest across a stretch of Florida where the McLarens already in the garage tend to be low, loud, and built for two. The timeline gives owners from Miami to Palm Beach to Naples a few years to work out where a taller, roomier version fits on a coastline that has long treated the two-door as the minimum acceptable standard. Miami will likely want it loud. Palm Beach will want it understated. Naples, as ever, will just want to know if it fits behind the boat.
