McLaren's Next Supercar Runs on Batteries, and Nobody From Naples to Miami Will Care How
McLaren is reportedly building an 810 horsepower hybrid coupe, going by the internal codename P34, that could be on roads as soon as next year. It's one entry in a larger slate of new models the British marque has coming down the pipeline. Down here, where a howling V8 has long been the whole point of owning one of these things, a hybrid pulling off that kind of output is the sort of detail Palm Beach garages and Miami valet lines will want confirmed before they decide how to feel about it. Naples collectors, who tend to buy first and debate the engineering later, probably won't wait that long.
