New York to Düsseldorf, No Miami Layover Required

Starting next year, La Compagnie will begin flying nonstop, business-class service between New York and Düsseldorf, the only airline currently connecting the two cities without a stop. For Florida's Palm Beach-to-Manhattan set, who already treat JFK as a waypoint to Europe, that's one connection fewer on the way to the Rhine. Miami keeps its own claim on international gateways, but this particular route belongs to New York alone.
