One of a Kind, and Priced Like It's Nowhere Near the Water
The only home in Pasadena designed by architect John Lautner is on the market for $2.6 million — a figure that reads almost modest from a state where waterfront teardowns clear more before anyone touches the landscaping. Lautner raised the sinuous, swooping structure in the late 1940s for a local printing company owner, decades before curves in a floor plan became a selling point real estate listings reach for. Down here, we know a one-of-one when we see one; we just tend to charge more for the view.
