A four-bedroom loft inside an 1896 Tribeca warehouse has come to market for $6.8 million, and its selling point isn't square footage or water views — it's age. The unit has been freshened up in recent years, but the developers left the good bones alone: cast-iron columns, ceilings tall enough to echo, and brick walls that have been exposed, not applied. Down here, where a builder is more likely to be pouring a new foundation than restoring a 19th-century one, that kind of vintage comes at its own premium. Palm Beach trades on pedigree and Naples on polish, but Tribeca is selling something neither can manufacture: a warehouse that has simply been standing since before Florida had zoning codes to speak of.
