Green Hills Doesn't Need a Reason to Watch, But CMA Just Gave It One
The Country Music Association will put Dolly Parton at the center of a two-hour live television special, a tribute produced for broadcast rather than a private industry dinner. It is the kind of honor Nashville's music side gives out sparingly, and when it does, the town notices. Old Nashville has its portraits and its galas; this is the other Nashville's version of the same gesture, aimed at an audience far bigger than the room.
