The Nashville Symphony has named its 2026 Harmony Award recipients, and both come from the business of songs rather than the boardroom. Mac McAnally, the veteran singer-songwriter, performer and producer, will share the honor with Rod Essig, the CAA agent known for building stars. It is the kind of pairing that makes sense only in this city — an orchestra's highest recognition going to two men who spent their careers on the creative and dealmaking sides of Music Row.
