The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority voted unanimously, 6 to 0, to begin the process of renaming the city's airport for Dolly Parton. It is the board that oversees the runway every visitor, dealmaker, and tour bus uses to reach town, and it did not split on the question. No dissent, no abstention — a clean vote to put her name over the gateway itself. For a city that trades in both old addresses and loud talent, the airport is about to belong squarely to the latter.
