Carol Batey-Prunty marked her 71st birthday not with a quiet dinner but by opening her Goodlettsville homestead to the people who helped rebuild it. The gathering doubled as her way of saying thank you to the community that showed up after tornado damage hit the property. It is a small, particular kind of Nashville story: neighbors who repaired a home, invited back to celebrate in it.
