Joby's Caravan Crossed the Country Without a Hand on the Yoke

Joby Aviation flew a converted Cessna Caravan 3,199 miles from coast to coast with the onboard safety pilot never touching the controls. The aircraft, a platform familiar to any owner who has chartered or operated one under Part 135, made the full transcontinental run on its own systems. For an airframe long valued for being simple and pilot-friendly, autonomous operation over that distance is a different kind of proof point.
