Southern Border Airspace Sees Fewer Rogue Drones
The Army's counter-drone laser system deployed along the southern border has cut unauthorized drone activity in the corridor by 75 percent, the service says. Since going operational, the system has downed 11 drones — a data point worth noting for operators who route business aircraft through or near that airspace. The Army has not disclosed further specifics on the system's operating footprint.
