Virginia Enters the FAA's Controller Pipeline for the First Time
Shenandoah University has joined the FAA's Enhanced Collegiate Training Initiative, becoming the 13th school nationwide enrolled in the program and the first in Virginia to hold a seat in it. E-CTI schools offer a recognized route from an aviation degree straight into air traffic control training. For owners and operators who track tower and center staffing the way they track weather, one more campus added to that list is worth noting. Shenandoah's addition brings a credential long held by a small set of established programs to Old Dominion State for the first time.
