Flying has published a rundown of the recurring mistakes A&P mechanics make during routine maintenance work. The list is written for mechanics, but the underlying point matters just as much on the owner's side of the logbook: an aircraft's airworthiness rests on the discipline behind each sign-off, not just the certificate on the shop wall. It's a reason to ask a maintenance provider not just what was done, but how it was done.
