2027 Corvette Stingray's New LS6 V-8 Puts 200 MPH in Reach, but Not for Every Buyer
Chevrolet has fitted the 2027 Corvette Stingray with a new V-8, the LS6, producing 535 horsepower. That output is behind Car and Driver's finding that the updated coupe can now reach 200 mph, a top-speed claim the outlet says the revised Stingray is prepared to back up. The added performance rides on a reworked version of the Z51 package, the option that has long sharpened the Stingray's handling and aerodynamics for buyers who order it. Car and Driver reports that this version of Z51 comes with a catch, a condition serious enough that it factors into whether the package belongs on the order sheet. For a model whose base engine defines the entry-level Corvette experience, a new V-8 rated at this output marks a real step up in the car's capability.
