Apple CarPlay Comes to the 2009–2016 911, Cayman and Boxster, From Porsche Itself

· 1 min read

Porsche has widened its own in-dash upgrade so that it now fits the 911, Cayman and Boxster from the 2009 through 2016 model years, and that upgrade brings Apple CarPlay. Because the part comes from the maker, owners who have kept their car's cabin original no longer have to choose between a modern phone connection and a dash that looks right. For anyone driving one of these cars along the Gulf shore in Naples or up the canyon roads above Los Angeles, it means a car they already love gains a feature they reach for every day. The cars stay as they are, and only the screen in the center of the dash gets newer.
