Bentley's First Electric Model Also Becomes Its Quickest

· 1 min read

Bentley says its next model, the Torcal, will mark two firsts for the marque at once: its first fully electric production car, and the quickest car it has ever built. The Torcal arrives in the form of an electric SUV, a shape that puts the badge's performance ambitions into a body style very different from the coupes and sedans that made Bentley's name. Along with that quickness, the automaker confirms the Torcal will also carry the title of the most powerful model in the company's history. For a marque whose reputation rests on the grand tourer, the pairing of "electric" and "most powerful ever" in the same debut is itself the news.
