California Eases Smog Rules for Classic Cars, With Strings Attached
California's governor has signed off on legislation, known as Leno's Law, that loosens smog-check requirements for owners of classic and vintage automobiles in the state. The relief comes with conditions attached, rather than a blanket exemption. For collectors who keep older cars registered and on the road, the change marks a real shift in how those vehicles will be regulated going forward.
