Chevrolet's Grand Sport X Marries LS6 V-8 to ZR1X Electric Assist for 721 Horsepower
Chevrolet has confirmed the numbers behind its 2027 Corvette Grand Sport X, and the arithmetic favors nobody but the driver: a 535-horsepower LS6 V-8 joined by 186 horsepower of electric assistance drawn from the ZR1X hybrid system, for a combined 721 horses. It is a deliberate pairing rather than a simple upgrade — the naturally aspirated V-8 that has long defined the Grand Sport name, working alongside the electrified hardware Chevrolet developed for its range-topping ZR1X. The result places the Grand Sport X among the most powerful production Corvettes the brand has built.
