The Detail That Sells The Whole Car

· 1 min read

A new car startup has done something small enough to matter: it put the old crotch vent back on the dashboard, aiming a stream of air at the driver's lap instead of just the face. It is a low, unglamorous feature, more familiar from cars built decades ago than anything on a showroom floor today. That single touch was reportedly enough to get at least one longtime observer of the industry genuinely curious about an otherwise unproven brand. Sometimes the detail that wins a skeptic over is not the horsepower number or the styling, but a vent doing exactly what it always used to do.

With reporting from The Drive.
