Ionna's Automaker-Backed Chargers Have Doubled in a Year, but Not Yet in Los Angeles

· 1 min read

Ionna, the charging company jointly held by eight carmakers, is twice the size it was at the start of 2026, according to its chief executive, Seth Cutler. For anyone who owns an electric car, doubling in one year means twice as many places to plug in, and those places are backed by the companies that build the cars. Cutler spoke with The Drive about that growth and about one obvious gap on the map: Los Angeles, where the network has yet to arrive. Owners in Beverly Hills and across the Westside can watch this network for now, but they can't use it.

With reporting from The Drive.
