Ionna's Chief Makes the Case for the Unhurried Charging Stop

· 1 min read

Seth Cutler, chief executive of Ionna, does not think an electric car needs to recharge as quickly as a gasoline car takes on fuel. In conversation with The Drive, he said drivers rarely treat a fill-up as a quick dash in and out. He pointed to Buc-ee's and Wawa, two American roadside names where a stop usually involves more than the pump. In his view, people driving on electricity behave the same way. That is worth hearing for any owner who has timed a road trip around where to stop, and it says something about how this company sees the break between one stretch of highway and the next.

With reporting from The Drive.
