McLaren's First SUV Will Trade Low and Wide for Tall and Practical
McLaren has confirmed it is building its first sport utility vehicle, a raised four-door departure from a lineup that has never included anything but low, two-seat supercars. The automaker indicates the model could reach production as soon as 2028. It would be the first McLaren road car built around a taller stance and four doors rather than the mid-engine coupe format that has defined the marque since its founding. For a brand whose identity has long rested on being the lowest car in any parking lot, the shift marks new ground.
